How (and where) have you been?

Hey Lea, haven't heard from you in a while so I thought I'd drop in to say hello.
I guess the weather at your house is about the same as it is at mine to day...pop up storm threats.
I see here on this comment below that you are from Louisiana. Me too!
And...we both ended up here. I too miss the great tasting foods of the southern coast.
I'm glad I still have family there to bring up the spices and fresh catches.
I like to cook when I have all the fixins ( a word I'm sure you have heard before)

Mariana, My family was from southwest Louisiana -along the Gulf Coast. I can't recall the parish name. We moved to southeast TX (also along the G. Coast) when I was young.

I miss fresh crab stew, gumbo, and shrimp! :-(
